Job summary

Patriot Maritime is seeking a Senior Manager in HSQE to develop and maintain health, safety, quality and environmental management for maritime operations. The role covers both shore-based and vessel support, acting as DPA & MR on ISM/ISO and SQMS matters while championing AI-driven HSQE workflows.

The candidate will drive audits, training, incident analysis, and reporting quality, leveraging AI tools to identify trends and enable predictive risk mitigation across the fleet and offices.

Qualifications

• Degree or maritime-equivalent experience required.
• Experience as Master/Chief Officer/Chief Engineer or Second Engineer (US/Foreign).
• Knowledge of ISM, USCG-CFRs, SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, Ballast Water Management.
• ISO 9001/ISM Auditor certification.
• Shore-based ship management or related industry experience.
• Experience managing employees.
• Ability to interpret complex instructions and work with all levels of staff.
• Comfort with AI tools and digital platform adoption in HSQE.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations per the Safety Quality Management System.
• Oversee Safety Program and Environmental Protection.
• Lead ISO 9001/ISM internal audits and vessel visits as directed.
• Conduct ISO/ISM/SQMS training for shore and shipboard staff.
• Oversee SQMS management reviews and documentation.
• Organize internal and external audit schedules and notifications.
• Analyze NCRs, AIRs, NMRs for trends and prevention.
