Siemens Healthineers Point of Care R&D is seeking a Software Developer Engineer to join our global software organization. You will contribute to the design, development, verification, and maintenance of software used in regulated Point of Care diagnostic products and the tooling to support it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java/Kotlin, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/React with ability to learn related tech.
• Experience developing software for Android, web, and/or Windows apps.
• Experience with test automation frameworks.
• Experience with source control, build automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting languages such as Python, shell, PowerShell, or Groovy.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Collaborative, cross-functional teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications and platform components.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Develop software using modern stacks (Java/Kotlin, C#/.NET, or TS/React).
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, system, and regression tests.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve builds and testing workflows.
• Support environments used for medical device software integration and testing.
• Work in a regulated medical device environment with quality, cybersecurity, and risk management.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams across software, systems, verification, and product security.
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design activities.
