Athennian is seeking a Software Engineer to join our distributed engineering team and contribute to scalable, full-stack solutions. You will help integrate production AI features, including RAG and LLMs, while collaborating with product and design teams to deliver high-quality software.

Based in a remote-capable Canada-based setup, you will work with modern tooling, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure, maintaining code quality and security across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
• Startup/Scale-Up background with shipping and iterating quickly.
• Proven track record shipping and operating real-world AI features (RAG, LLM integrations, vector search, AI agents).
• Full-Stack proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js).
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker).

Responsabilités

• Architect and deliver scalable software solutions aligning with complex business needs.
• Contribute to high-level system design and long-term maintainability.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of AI features in the product.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring code quality.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate user needs into features.
• Ensure performance, security, reliability, and thorough code reviews.
