Job summary

EY is seeking a hands-on Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of AI-enabled systems within a single client engagement in highly regulated industries. Embedded with the client, you will set technical direction and own tradeoffs, while remaining hands-on in code and client environments.

You will lead a small cell, coordinate with the Builder and Data Engineer, and ensure production-ready solutions that balance safety, cost, and regulatory constraints.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems, ideally in regulated or client-facing contexts.
• Hands-on engineering depth across integration-heavy architectures, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern AI-enabled application stacks (e.g., agentic systems, orchestration frameworks, LLM-backed services).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery for the cell, including scoping, tradeoffs, technical direction, and production readiness.
• Embed with the client to translate business needs into executable technical solutions under regulatory constraints.
• Serve as the primary technical interface to client stakeholders and manage expectations.
