Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Enterprise Compliance and Risk Controls Lead for financial crimes governance. You will oversee Bridge and Privy controls, shape policy governance, and contribute to the Financial Crimes Risk Assessment across Stripe entities.

The role emphasizes translating regulatory needs into practical controls and collaborating with Legal, Risk, Product, and Engineering teams to strengthen the control environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial crimes compliance, risk, internal controls, audit, or a related field.
• Experience with financial crimes risk assessments, control design or testing, policy governance, issue management, or audit readiness.
• Familiarity with AML, sanctions, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, and Travel Rule.
• Interest in or experience using AI and automation to improve compliance responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Bridge and Privy controls are designed, evidenced, governed, and implemented.
• Drive policy governance across Stripe entities, including development, approvals, and change management.
• Provide inputs for Financial Crimes Risk Assessment across Stripe entities, including planning and governance.
• Translate regulatory and risk requirements into clear controls, policies, and operating processes.
• Partner with multiple teams to identify gaps, manage issues, and improve the control environment.
• Identify AI and automation opportunities across controls, policy, and risk assessments.
• Ensure AI-enabled workflows retain human oversight, data protection, and auditability.
