Job summary

Medici is seeking a hands-on, technology-forward Accounting & Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and help build a more efficient, AI-enabled finance function in Austin, TX. You will manage core accounting activities, support financial reporting, and identify opportunities to streamline processes through AI and automation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of accounting controls and financial processes.
• Experience leveraging AI, automation, or fintech to streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations across multiple Medici entities.
• Manage accounts receivable including membership billing, invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Oversee accounts payable and reimbursements through Bill.com.
• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and coordinate month-end close and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Leverage AI, automation, and modern financial tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing, payment tracking, reporting, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with payroll providers, external accountants, and international accounting partners.
• Collaborate with Operations, Care Concierge, and Leadership to resolve financial discrepancies.
