Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company seeks an Application Architect to plan and implement custom application development. You will provide advanced technical expertise on system design, documentation, and implementation of Shamrock Foods Company’s custom applications.

You will design long-term goals, introduce new technologies, and govern architecture for AI and intelligent automation. Responsibilities include mentoring, documenting architectures, and guiding DevOps CI/CD practices within an enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field.
• 8+ years of related job experience or equivalent combination.
• Successful track record administering software at an enterprise level.
• Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans.
• Technical lead in strategic design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining custom software.
• Introduce and integrate new technologies into software development environments.
• Design and govern the enterprise application architecture for AI, Generative AI, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Evaluate, prototype, and establish standards for adoption of AI technologies.
• Provide architectural expertise and guidance to engineers and other architects.
• Mentor junior team members through code reviews and training sessions.
• Document the software architecture and technology portfolio; recommend improvements.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies to increase cost effectiveness and reliability.
• Perform POCs for new technologies as required.
• Confer with end-users and management to define business requirements for complex systems.
• Provide technical advice and estimations during project initiation.
• Develop and manage a software development lifecycle plan.
• Assist DevOps with CI/CD modeling and implementation.
• Develop standards for processes and expectations.
