Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, Texas is offering a summer internship to showcase the capabilities of the latest NXP microprocessors in AI/ML with a focus on time series and anomaly detection. You will be mentored by senior team members and collaborate with Designers, Software Developers, and other engineers globally.

You will manage projects from conception to final product, develop firmware and proofs of concept, and deliver materials for customer-facing demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Must have proficiency in the C language.
• Must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
• Experience with embedded Systems on Chip, especially ARM Cortex architecture.
• Embedded software development and debugging experience including operating systems, device drivers, connectivity stacks (802.15.4, BLE, Thread, Zigbee).
• Technical writing skills for creating application notes, white papers, and user’s guides / reference manuals.

Responsibilities

• Mentored by senior team members to create a project showcasing the capabilities of the latest NXP microprocessors in AI/ML and time series/anomaly detection.
• Manage your project from Conception to Planning to Execution to Final Product, culminating with a presentation to leadership.
• Contribute to firmware, proofs of concept and materials enhancing our product offering.
• Collaborate with Designers, Software Developers, and other engineers from around the globe.
