Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior DevSecOps/AIOps Engineer to advance AI-enabled web and mobile agentic applications. You will collaborate with software and cloud engineers to push CI/CD and security across multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities include building scalable pipelines, IaC, centralized logging, monitoring, and enabling self-healing while mentoring junior engineers. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-8 years DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering experience, including 2 years AI/ML infra.
• Proven production experience with two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
• Production experience managing Kubernetes, including scaling, networking, and workload scheduling.
• Scripting ability in Python or Go for automation.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled app development (RAG, MCP, Agents, LLMs).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar).
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Experience with APIs and web services (REST, SOAP).
• Proficiency with Jira, Git, and AI-enabled IDEs.
• Ability to obtain/maintain secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• For Staff IV: 8-10 years DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering experience; Agile and test automation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD/CT pipelines.
• Integrating security controls into the deployment pipeline.
• Designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable multi-cloud DevSecOps platform.
• Provisioning and managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure via code.
• Building centralized logging, tracing, and metrics pipelines.
• Maintaining AI-native applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Performing root cause analysis for production incidents; provide tier-2/3 support.
• Automation to reduce MTTR and enable self-healing and resilience.
• Build and improve CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
• Mentoring junior engineers.
