Job summary
Deloitte GPS is hiring a Software Engineer III to advance AI-assisted software delivery and agent development for government and public services clients in the United States. You will translate requirements into structured agent workflows, validate outputs, and deliver scalable technology solutions.
You will collaborate across architecture, engineering, QA, product, UX, and documentation to ensure high-quality outcomes, drive delivery reliability, and lead others in modern agent-enabled
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 4 years in software engineering or SDLC delivery.
- Experience reviewing code and delivering in Agile environments.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
- Experience designing or implementing AI agents for software delivery use cases.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Break down business and technical requirements into structured tasks for agent-assisted delivery workflows.
- Execute and track software and agent development lifecycles across build, test, release, and validation.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, QA, product, UX, and documentation teams to ensure delivery consistency.
- Review agent-generated requirements, code, tests, and docs for quality and alignment to requirements.
- Design, configure, and support AI agent implementations for software engineering use cases.
- Apply Agentic Development Lifecycle practices including task decomposition, context scoping, and human-in-the-loop review.
- Support integration patterns for MCP and multi-agent orchestration across specialized roles.
- Lead other engineers in secure, reliable AI-assisted development practices and governance.
- Stay current on best practices and evolving frameworks for AI agent development and governance.
