Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking a senior Security Spec to lead large-scale AI integrations within the security operations center in the United States. You will guide others, design advanced AI-driven detection and response, and mentor analysts while advancing risk-based security practices.

The role focuses on bridging cybersecurity operations with analytics, deploying AI tools, and improving threat visibility across enterprise environments. A SECRET DoD clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with IT/security experience.
• Military or government IT/security experience is relevant.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and defense in depth.
• Experience with threat detection, incident response, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize AI-enabled SOC capabilities and investigations.
• Develop AI models for alert triage and anomaly detection.
• Implement AI-driven detection and response within SOC tooling.
• Analyze large telemetry for trends and improved detection.
• Collaborate with SOC and data teams to operationalize AI use cases.
• Automate SOC tasks with AI and scripting.
• Create dashboards and metrics to show security improvements.
