Notre Dame is offering a journalism/communications internship to develop original content for Viva Engage, emails, video scripts, social media, external and intranet articles. You will collaborate with stakeholders to align messaging with organizational goals and boost employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication to present to business leaders.
• Analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
• Proficiency in using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work.
• Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.
• Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Journalism, Communications, Writing, PR, or related field, with at least one semester remaining.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Junior or Senior classification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview, research, and create original content for Viva Engage, emails, video scripts, social media, external articles, and intranet articles.
• Support internal and external communication initiatives by developing engaging content across multiple channels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop messaging that aligns with organizational goals and enhances employee engagement.
