Job summary

Pearson is hiring a Specialist for the Content Development team to create and review K-12 assessment content for state and district clients in the United States. You will work as a content and assessment expert, leveraging AI tools to enhance quality and accessibility.

The role emphasizes collaboration with educators and partners, item development, and support across test construction and reviews. The position is a 12-month limited term.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience required.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field of content-specific area preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in AI-supported content development or readiness to leverage AI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across multiple grade levels.
• Develop item, passage, test specifications, blueprints, and ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and ensure accessibility.
• Collaborate to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
• Select, train, and manage item writers to meet standards and cognitive targets.
• Facilitate customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
• Support test construction and review of test forms.
