Job summary

Revantage seeks an AVP Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with portfolio companies and tech teams to deliver scalable AI, data, and cloud solutions. You will translate business needs into production-ready software across Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.

The role blends software engineering, data engineering, and consulting, with direct end-user interaction and rapid prototyping of cloud-native data pipelines.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in CS, engineering, data science, or related field.
• 7+ years in software, data, or platform engineering.
• Advanced Python with strong software fundamentals.
• Experience deploying cloud-native solutions in Azure.
• Builds distributed, scalable applications and microservices.
• Develops and consumes REST APIs; understands event-driven design.
• Nice to have Databricks, Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to identify AI, automation, and data opportunities.
• Design, build, and deploy cloud-native apps using Python and Azure.
• Develop scalable data pipelines with Databricks and Snowflake.
• Create AI-powered solutions to improve processes and decisions.
• Lead discovery sessions; translate needs into plans.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and event-driven apps.
• Promote best practices in testing, security, and automation.
• Collaborate with PMs, data engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers; contribute to standards and excellence.
• Stay current on AI, cloud, and data tech and drive adoption.
