Job summary

Novartis Cambridge, MA invites applications for the Biomedical Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, an elite opportunity for early-career scientists to tackle challenges in biomedical research and drug discovery.

As a Discovery Postdoctoral Fellow, you will develop AI/ML methods to integrate ECG, genomic, and proteomic data, working with biobanks and real-world datasets to uncover biomarkers and disease mechanisms that inform future therapies.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline completed prior to the fellowship start date (PhD conferred in 2026 preferred).
• Demonstrated record of scientific achievement (publications, presentations, patents).
• Strong quantitative background in data science, statistics, ML, bioinformatics, computational biology or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R; experience with large-scale datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop multimodal AI/ML models to integrate ECG, genomic, and proteomic data for cardiovascular research.
• Analyze large-scale multimodal datasets from biobanks and clinical studies to identify biomarkers and mechanisms.
• Design, implement, and evaluate predictive models linking physiological signals with molecular variation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, geneticists, clinicians, and cardiovascular researchers.
• Disseminate findings through publications, conferences, and seminars.
