Job summary

University of Michigan Department of Biostatistics invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to develop and apply novel statistical, ML, and AI methods for biomedical and oncology research.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field by the time of appointment.
• Strong methodological and computational skills.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in health-related applications of statistical, data science, machine-learning, or AI methods.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary research teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply novel statistical, machine-learning, and AI methods for biomedical data.
• Collaborate with Yi Li's group and other investigators at UMich and Harvard.
• Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present findings.
• Contribute to teaching graduate courses where applicable.
