Job summary

KLA is seeking a Research Scientist for the LS-SWIFT Division to analyze massive data from darkfield optical inspection systems and apply AI-driven methods for wafer defect detection. Work involves data science, Python scripting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have advanced degrees with 3–5+ years related experience, strong communication and leadership, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Advanced data science experience for analysis and visualization of large data sets.
• Python scripting with exposure to basic ML and DL concepts for AI-driven applications.
• Background in IC processing or semiconductor equipment is desirable.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
