Job summary

Old National Bank is seeking an Application Developer III in Chicago to lead the design and governance of autonomous software delivery systems across the Product Engineering organization. You will drive development and operation of agentic workflows, ensuring secure, compliant outcomes within a regulated banking environment.

You will write high-quality code in Golang, Python, and TypeScript, integrate AI services, and mentor engineers while aligning with governance, risk, and compliance

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of complex, production systems.
• Strong coding proficiency in Golang, Python, and TypeScript, including API design, integration patterns, and cloudnative development.
• Experience with AWS, GitOps CI/CD, serverless architectures, and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM platforms (AWS Bedrock, Anthropic), embeddings/vector stores, and orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation/observability, guardrails, policyascode, and designing secure, compliant systems in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own intent to outcome delivery: convert business intent/specifications into shipped features using agentic workflows.
• Write and review high-quality code in Golang, Python, and TypeScript across components and services.
• Testing & validation: ensure autonomous and human-written code is validated through automated testing and verifications.
• Architect and orchestrate AI systems using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
