Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC is seeking a highly capable engineer to automate processing of filer applications for a federal agency. You will design and implement an intelligent, OCR-enabled pipeline and document-intelligence services to extract structure and meaning from filings.

You will also build validation and review workflows with exact and fuzzy matching, and contribute to new capabilities and lines of business.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
Extensive hands-on Python experience.
Experience building document-processing systems in the cloud (Amazon Textract or equivalents).
Experience engineering data validation, matching, APIs, and SQL.
Ability to operate in a regulated environment with high emphasis on accuracy and auditability.

Responsibilities

Help automate how a federal agency handles a high-volume stream of filer applications.
Turn a manual, document-heavy process into an intelligent pipeline using OCR and AI.
Build document-intelligence services that pull structure and meaning out of filings.
Create validation and review processes including exact and fuzzy matching.
Develop new capabilities, tools, and lines of business.
