• 12+ years software engineering experience with Java/Spring, cloud, web services, high-volume transactions.
• 6+ years with containers and microservices in cloud environments; 6+ years cloud deployment (CI/CD).
• 5+ years with PCF, AWS, or GCP; 5+ years with databases (MongoDB, Aerospike, PostgreSQL).
• 2+ years hands-on AI/ML implementation and production deployment; 2+ years modernization projects.

Job Summary Senior AI Developer Tech Lead (Charles Schwab, Southlake, TX)

Role: Senior AI Developer Tech Lead supporting large-scale technical transformation and modernization of broker-dealer systems and core technology infrastructure.

Location: Southlake, TX (Onsite 3-4 days/week; relocation available)

Contract: 6-12 months

Client: Charles Schwab

Interview Process: Two video interviews

Compensation: $85.50/hr on W-2

Status: Open to all visa/work status

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Technical Skills

• Expertise with GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for implementation, refactoring, testing, and automation
• Experience as a Tech Lead or Team Lead, including mentoring
• Greenfield design and system architecture experience
• Knowledge of agentic workflows, spec-driven development, and prompt engineering
• Hands-on with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, PaLM)
• Understanding of broker-dealer operations
• Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with messaging technologies (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Background in Financial Services industry
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and QA Automation
• Proficiency in Visio, architectural documentation, technical specifications
• Willingness to learn and document all aspects of the tech stack
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
