Job summary

ManufacturingPartSpace is seeking an AI Developer to scale and enhance our production AI platform in Germany. You will design, train, and deploy ML models, focusing on computer vision, OCR, and data pipelines.

You will work with product and business teams to translate requirements into robust AI solutions. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of software development, strong Python skills, and a passion for practical AI.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Mathematics or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex projects.
• Strong Python development skills (C++ a plus).
• Deep knowledge of ML models/algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning).
• Experience in computer vision; familiarity with OCR/document processing a plus.
• Ability to solve complex technical challenges and deploy to production.
• Motivated, structured, and reliable with ownership, capable of teamwork.
• Very good German and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and reliability of our data and AI pipeline.
• Develop and improve production-grade software systems.
• Participate in architecture decisions for clean, future-proof solutions.
• Design, train, and integrate ML models into production services (APIs/pipelines).
• Work on computer vision and graph neural networks for complex structures.

Your mission

• You ensure the scalability, maintainability, and reliability of our entire pipeline
• You develop and improve our production-grade software systems
• You make architecture and design decisions together with the team, ensuring clean and future-proof technical solutions
• You design, train, and integrate machine learning models into production applications (APIs, pipelines, and services)
• You work on computer vision applications (documents, images, layout, OCR-related topics) as well as graph neural networks for complex structures
• You evaluate modern machine learning approaches (classical ML, deep learning, multimodal foundation models) and apply them pragmatically and purposefully
• You work closely with the product and business teams to translate requirements into practical AI solutions

Your profile

• You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification
• You bring at least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer and hands-on experience delivering complex software projects
• You have very strong Python development skills (C++ is a plus)
• You possess deep and broad knowledge of machine learning, with practical experience in ML models and algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning)
• You have experience in computer vision or are eager to deepen your expertise in this area, with a solid understanding of multimodal approaches (text + image)
• Ideally, you have experience with OCR, document processing, or layout analysis
• You are able to solve complex technical challenges in a structured way and integrate solutions into production environments
• You are motivated, structured, and see things through - you take ownership and deliver reliably
• You are a team player who communicates openly, clearly, and in a solution-oriented manner
• You have very good German and English skills
