Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced AI Agent Development professional to design, build, test, and deploy production agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio. You will develop conversational agents, knowledge/workflow automation, and enterprise integrations across platforms like ServiceNow and Oracle Fusion.

You will implement secure authentication, orchestration, and multi-agent architectures while leveraging Azure OpenAI, Foundry, and Power Platform.

Key Responsibilities

AI Agent Development

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Develop conversational assistants, intelligent intake solutions, knowledge agents, workflow agents, and business-process automation.
• Configure agent instructions, generative orchestration, topics, knowledge sources, tools, actions, authentication, and agent flows.
• Develop advanced AI agents and custom services using Microsoft Foundry Agent Service and appropriate development frameworks.
• Implement tool calling, MCP integrations, multi-step workflows, and agent orchestration when requirements justify them.
• Develop reusable components and patterns to accelerate enterprise AI delivery.

Enterprise Integration & Custom Development

• Develop and integrate REST APIs, custom connectors, webhooks, and MCP tools.
• Build supporting services using Python, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Integrate with platforms such as ServiceNow, Oracle, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse, and other enterprise applications.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, managed identities, and service principals.
• Work with Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Container Apps, API Management, and other Azure services where appropriate.

Automation & Workflow Engineering

• Build Power Automate workflows, agent flows, approvals, and business-process automations.
• Separate deterministic business logic from AI-based reasoning.
• Develop exception handling, retries, monitoring, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop processes.
• Evaluate existing system capabilities before implementing custom solutions.
• Optimize automation for reliability, maintainability, performance, and cost.

Application Lifecycle & Production Engineering

• Develop solutions within governed DEV, TEST, and PROD environments.
• Implement Power Platform solutions, deployment pipelines, environment variables, connection references, and managed solutions.
• Use Git, source control, CI/CD, and enterprise release-management practices.
• Implement security controls, DLP policies, access restrictions, and production governance requirements.
• Perform technical troubleshooting, agent evaluations, regression testing, and production support.
• Monitor agent reliability, performance, operational costs, and consumption.

Solution Engineering & Technical Ownership

• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand processes, requirements, and expected outcomes.
• Translate loosely defined business problems into practical technical solutions.
• Evaluate Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Power Automate, native enterprise capabilities, and custom code to determine the most appropriate approach.
• Own assigned solutions through design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
• Document technical designs, integrations, dependencies, and operational support requirements.
• Deliver measurable business value through automation, improved productivity, reduced manual effort, and operational efficiencies.

Skills and Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience building and deploying Microsoft Copilot Studio agents beyond basic demonstrations or FAQ bots.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365 integrations.
• Experience developing enterprise applications, APIs, custom integrations, or supporting services.
• Strong development skills in at least one of the following: Python, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, Microsoft Graph, and enterprise authentication using Microsoft Entra ID and OAuth.
• Experience deploying applications or Power Platform solutions using structured ALM, source control, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot agent orchestration, tool execution, data retrieval, permissions, integrations, and production failures.
• Understanding of AI agent architectures, LLM capabilities, tool calling, retrieval, and responsible AI practices.
• Ability to independently deliver solutions from initial requirements through production deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Foundry Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Azure OpenAI.
• Experience developing MCP servers, custom agent tools, and agent-to-agent integrations.
• Familiarity with Azure AI Search, RAG, enterprise knowledge retrieval, and grounding strategies.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Oracle Fusion, or other enterprise business systems.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Container Apps, API Management, and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with multi-agent architecture, agent evaluations, tracing, observability, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, DLP, managed identities, and enterprise security governance.
• Experience designing scalable, reusable automation solutions across multiple business departments.
• Familiarity with AI consumption models, token economics, and cost optimization.
