Job summary

Figma is seeking an AI Model Designer to bridge AI research with world‑class design. You’ll help teach models to be better copilots for designers and apply design principles across products.

You’ll collaborate with AI researchers, document heuristics, test AI outputs, oversee design evaluations, and translate complex concepts for designers and AI experts. This role can be remote in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience developing design heuristics and design principles.
• Experience leading design efforts spanning multiple product lines.
• Experience using AI models for design tasks, coding or image models.
• Proven track record managing complex, cross-team projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with AI researchers to improve model performance from a design perspective.
• Develop and document design principles and heuristics usable by our AI systems.
• Build thorough methods to test and enhance the quality of AI-generated outputs.
• Oversee the quality of design evaluations and guide external partners.
• Translate technical details for designers and design concepts for AI experts.
