Job summary

New York Life invites you to the Advanced Analytics (Data Science) Intern role, a 10-week summer internship within NYLD, starting in June and ending in August, with a hybrid schedule and in-person days on Tue-Thu at our Tampa office.

You will support data querying, preprocessing, and exploration, contribute to multiple analytics projects, learn AI/ML applications, and gain exposure to senior leaders while developing practical analytics skills in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a graduate degree in a technical or quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related.

Responsibilities

• Support data querying, data preparation and exploration.
• Contribute to multiple analytics projects including test design, ad-hoc requests, and development of proof-of-concept models.
• Apply AI/ML approaches to analytics workflows and evaluate model performance.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, data quality, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
