Job summary

Boston Scientific in Maple Grove, MN is offering an AI-focused internship designed to translate business problems into data analytics and AI use cases. You will collaborate with Forward Deploy Engineers, Project Management, and manufacturing teams to pilot AI concepts and develop proofs of concept using existing platforms.

Accepted candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program with a 12-week schedule starting May 2027 and must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's degree with an expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science.
• Able to start the internship on May 17 or May 24, 2027, and work for 12 weeks.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove Minnesota Boston Scientific Corporate location.

Responsibilities

• Learn the organization’s existing digital and AI capabilities and support existing AI-enabled use cases including scaling across the manufacturing site.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges, and opportunities where data analytics and AI can improve efficiency, access to information, decision-making, or user experience.
• Translate business needs and user requirements into clearly defined data analytic solutions and/or AI use cases, including expected outcomes, data requirements, success criteria, and potential limitations.
• Document use cases, requirements, workflows, findings, and recommendations to enable successful transition of promising concepts to appropriate technical teams for further development.
• Communicate findings and demonstrate AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate closely with Forward Deploy Engineers, Project Management, Manufacturing teams and business stakeholders.
