Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Technical Lead, AI Data Operations to oversee a growing team of Data Annotation Specialists supporting large-scale AI training and data quality initiatives. Initial focus on computer vision data across image and video modalities, with expansion into other modalities over time.

You will mentor annotators, drive quality standards, and partner with researchers and engineers to ensure successful project execution while scaling the team from 20 to 50–100+ contributors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 2–5+ years leading teams or programs in data operations or AI data workflows.
• Proven ability to audit data quality, conduct root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Experience onboarding, coaching, and mentoring teams to improve quality and performance.
• Strong understanding of annotation workflows, guidelines, and governance.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable annotation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Data Annotation Specialists, with performance coaching and quality reviews.
• Audit outputs across image, video, and other data modalities; monitor quality and throughput.
• Partner with researchers, engineers, and project managers to translate requirements.
• Escalate risks and gaps; develop operational guidance and quality thresholds.
• Contribute to tooling and process improvements; document best practices and training materials.
• Scale annotation operations from ~20 to 50–100+ contributors and manage growth.
