Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our distributed AI team. You will design and run data pipelines powering model training and next-gen AI products, building systems that scale data processing and improve dataset quality for faster, more reliable training.

You will collaborate with AI scientists, own projects end-to-end, and operate in a highly autonomous environment with a focus on innovative data solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building/operating production data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving, initiative, and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems for quality and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to enhance training datasets and models.
• Own engineering projects from problem discovery to implementation and improvement.
