Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products. You will work on petabyte-scale data, combining engineering, infrastructure, and research to improve data quality and throughput.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering, strong backend skills in Python and Linux, with experience in production data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building/operating production data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving, initiative, ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build pipelines.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems for quality and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve training datasets.
• Own projects from discovery through implementation and improvement.
