Job summary

Deloitte seeks an AI & Data Science Engineer II to drive technology-focused client delivery across complex engagements in the AI & Data practice. You will work with client teams to design, prototype, test, and roll out solutions that enable clients to transform their data and analytics capabilities.

You will engage stakeholders, lead small delivery teams, and ensure quality and timely delivery while communicating clearly with both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in data science, ML, or Generative AI, including prototyping LLM apps.
• 2+ years of hands-on Python and SQL across enterprise data platforms.
• 1+ year of leading workstreams or small delivery teams.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Engineering/Data Science/AI or related field.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Engage with client stakeholders and sponsors as the primary technical contact for your workstream.
• Deliver components of client engagements across design, prototyping, testing, and production rollout.
• Lead small teams through requirements gathering, design, and support-model definition.
• Monitor progress, identify variances, and drive corrective action before issues affect delivery.
• Identify risks and mitigations early to protect delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with client stakeholders and engagement leadership.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Build professional relationships and lead projects or workstreams.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
