BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC invites applications for a Software Engineer Co-Op Spring 2027 (AI/Data) in Greenville, SC. The role focuses on collaboration with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to implement use cases for our Big Data clusters, both on-prem and cloud, and to explore AI-driven data visuals for business insights.

You will help build data pipelines, ingest data, and optimize infrastructure for scalability while leveraging SQL and AWS big data technologies.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Enrolled student status in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credits by application time.
• Must attach unofficial transcript.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers on production implementation of use cases for Big Data clusters (on-prem and cloud).
• Work with AI tools to explore new use cases and create visuals using data and AI tooling.
• Contribute to data pipeline architecture, data ingestion, and extraction/ loading processes via SQL and cloud technologies.
• Develop analytics tools using data pipelines to provide actionable insights on business metrics.
• Coordinate with team members and use Jira/Confluence for task tracking.
