Job summary

BrainPOP's Data team seeks a co-op/intern focused on empowering analytics with AI. You’ll work across analytics, experimentation, reporting, and data modeling within analytics-engineering, emphasizing CortexAI and semantic layers.

The role spans Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Python and Streamlit to drive real-time insights. You’ll learn to transform Snowflake data, build dashboards, and craft prompts for AI models, aligning with marketing, product, finance and GTM stakeholders in a hybrid NYC

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (senior preferred) or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science; recent graduates may be considered.
• Background in analytics, data, data engineering or a tech-adjacent role; full stack capability across analytics, data modeling, AI and analytics engineering.
• Team player; able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• SQL, including CTEs & window functions; Snowflake experience is a plus.
• Python for data transformation and automation.
• AI-assisted development; experience with LLM coding assistants or similar tooling.
• Prompt engineering experience; ability to craft structured prompts and outputs.
• Experience building dashboards or data visualizations with tools like Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Enhance analytics, experimentation and BI capability for business.
• Produce ad-hoc analysis from Snowflake and in-house telemetry systems for multiple teams.
• Model data for dashboards; translate Tableau workflows to Streamlit apps for experimentation.
• Monitor KPIs; identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve performance.
• Support building AI workflows within CortexAI semantic layer; design repeatable data models.
• Transform raw Snowflake data into reusable data models pipelined into dbt and semantic layer.
• Model, document and QA CortexAI models to support semantic view and NL query capability.
• Write and iterate on prompt and skill structures; evaluate outputs for analyst-quality results.
