Captivate Staffing Group is seeking an AI Data Center Technician to manage the day-to-day operations of a live AI Data Hall. You will monitor critical systems, drive incident resolution, and coordinate maintenance to maintain service availability.

The role serves as the primary escalation point for operational issues impacting compute, power, cooling, networking, and environmental systems supporting AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Data Hall Operations: Maintain operational oversight of assigned AI Data Hall environments.
• Data Hall Operations: Monitor critical systems, alarms, environmental conditions, and infrastructure health.
• Data Hall Operations: Perform routine inspections and operational audits of Data Hall infrastructure.
• Data Hall Operations: Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures.
• Data Hall Operations: Maintain awareness of capacity, utilization, thermal conditions, and operational risks.
• Data Hall Operations: Serve as the Tier 3 escalation resource for Data Hall incidents.
• Data Hall Operations: Coordinate response activities across engineering, facilities, network, and service teams.
• Data Hall Operations: Restore service using established incident management protocols.
• Data Hall Operations: Document findings, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
• AI Infrastructure Support: Support operational health of GPU clusters and AI compute environments.
• AI Infrastructure Support: Investigate thermal, power, hardware, and connectivity issues affecting AI workloads.
• AI Infrastructure Support: Monitor infrastructure performance indicators and respond to exceptions.
• AI Infrastructure Support: Execute approved remediation and recovery activities.
• AI Infrastructure Support: Validate system readiness following maintenance or incident events.

Job description

AI Data Center Technician is a senior operations professional responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring, and operational support of a live AI Data Hall. This role serves as the primary technical escalation point for operational issues impacting compute, power, cooling, networking, and environmental systems supporting AI workloads.

The Technician ensures operational readiness, drives incident resolution, manages risk within the Data Hall, coordinates maintenance activities, and maintains service availability through disciplined operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Data Hall Operations

• Maintain operational oversight of assigned AI Data Hall environments.
• Monitor critical systems, alarms, environmental conditions, and infrastructure health.
• Perform routine inspections and operational audits of Data Hall infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of capacity, utilization, thermal conditions, and operational risks.
