Job summary

Eridu, a Silicon Valley hardware startup, seeks a Network Simulation Engineer to lead simulation of AI communication workloads across data center topologies. You will apply network simulation tools to model real-world AI applications—including LLMs and DL/RMs—to inform architectural decisions across Eridu’s product development lifecycle and to showcase our value to prospective customers and investors.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with customers, ASIC designers, and simulation tool

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with AI/ML comms specialization.
• Strong experience with network simulation tools such as NS3, OMNeT++, or custom simulators.
• Familiarity with distributed training frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and GPU programming (CUDA).
• Deep understanding of Ethernet, InfiniBand, and high‑performance data center networking.

Responsibilities

• Model AI workloads: simulate communication patterns of distributed AI workloads across network topologies.
• Drive architecture optimization: evaluate AI workloads and provide topology/design recommendations.
• Influence ASIC design with simulation insights for optimized AI traffic flows.
• Tool development & partnership: work with NS‑3/ASTRA‑sim based tools and customize modeling frameworks.
• Communicate insights via clear reports and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
