Job summary

Cerebras Systems in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Data Center Architect to lead the development of infrastructure standards for Cerebras AI systems. You will create the Basis of Design for power, cooling, mechanical, electrical and supporting infra, coordinating with manufacturing, hardware, thermal and systems engineering teams.

You will work with external colocation providers, EPC firms and OEMs to deliver high-density AI data center solutions that meet performance, reliability and deployment

Qualifications

• Experience developing Basis of Design (BoD) documentation and technical standards.
• Strong knowledge of high-density liquid cooling, power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, CDUs, chillers and cooling systems.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external design partners.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, NEC, NFPA and ISO standards.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the Basis of Design (BoD) for AI data center deployments.
• Partner with internal teams to define infrastructure requirements.
• Develop standardized reference architectures and deployment templates.
• Review designs with colocation providers, EPC firms, and OEMs.
• Lead reviews for power, cooling, CDU architecture, and water systems.
• Define infra requirements for high-density AI clusters emphasizing scalability and maintainability.
• Review vendor drawings and equipment selections for compliance with Cerebras standards.
• Ensure compliance with regional codes and standards.
• Support commissioning planning and operational readiness.
• Continuously improve design standards by evaluating emerging technologies.
