Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced Compliance Officers to evaluate and improve AI-generated compliance content and workflows, applying deep expertise in laws, regulations, and licensing standards.

You will review regulatory analyses, licensing reviews, and enforcement artifacts, and provide expert feedback on regulatory rigor and evidentiary support. This is a task-based role with initial task approval followed by hourly pay for the remainder of the project.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a Compliance Officer, Compliance Analyst, Compliance Manager, License Examiner, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, or another closely related role.
• Experience examining, evaluating, or investigating eligibility for or conformity with laws, regulations, licenses, or permits, including preparing findings and enforcement reports.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
• Strong written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated compliance assessments, regulatory analyses, licensing reviews, and other enforcement artifacts for quality and accuracy.
• Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on regulatory rigor, evidentiary soundness, and enforcement reasoning.
• Review compliance scenarios involving eligibility determinations, license and permit review, violation reporting, and regulatory recommendations and provide expert feedback.
