Job summary

Scale AI is seeking an AI Builder Intern on the Data & Technology team to build live automation tools, pipelines, and agentic workflows that scale across the organization.

You’ll work alongside engineers, data scientists, and ops leads on real automation initiatives, using LLM tooling and production‑quality code to ship tangible results that scale. Compensation includes base salary, equity, benefits, and a learning stipend, with a base range of $74,400–$93,000 in New York.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript with production-ready code.
• Familiarity with at least one automation framework (LangChain, AutoGen, n8n, Zapier LLM).
• Strong product instincts and user-first thinking.
• Currently enrolled in CS, data science, or engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy agentic workflows using LLM-integrated frameworks.
• Build API-connected automations tying internal tools like Slack, Salesforce, Notion.
• Prototype quickly and iterate to ship working demos.
• Develop lightweight internal tools and dashboards for business teams.
• Instrument projects with usage signals and adoption metrics.
