Avenga is seeking an AI backend engineer to develop and maintain AI-powered services using Python and FastAPI. You will design REST APIs, integrate Azure AI capabilities, and containerize applications for OpenShift deployments.

You will collaborate with Front-End teams using React/Next.js as needed, and help deliver scalable AI solutions for enterprise users. The role emphasizes reliability, performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across banking environments.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with Azure AI Services and Azure AI Foundry.
• Knowledge of Docker and OpenShift.
• Experience with GitLab CI and basic CI/CD pipeline configuration.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Next.js / React.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI-powered backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and implement REST APIs and integrations supporting the AI solution.
• Integrate with Azure AI Services and Azure AI Foundry to support AI features.
• Containerize applications using Docker and support OpenShift deployments.
• Create and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with Front-End developers working with React / Next.js as needed.
• Troubleshoot and optimize backend reliability and performance.
• Support the delivery of an AI solution for banking employees in an enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
