Job summary

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to translate real audit and controls work into structured, high-quality training data so AI can reason like auditors on external and internal audits, including SOX controls.

You will design realistic audit scenarios from work, review AI outputs for accuracy, and provide clear written feedback to improve AI performance. Collaboration with the research team is asynchronous.

Qualifications

• Public accounting audit background (Big 4 or regional firm) and/or internal audit/SOX background.
• CPA or CIA certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios from audit work—planning, scoping, risk assessment, testing/workpapers, and report wrap-up.
• Review and compare AI-generated audit outputs for accuracy, evidential support, and sound professional judgment.
• Provide clear written feedback to improve AI performance in audit tasks.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team.
