Job summary

Threat Tec, LLC seeks an AI SME to provide technical and policy advisory support on AI for arms-control verification and future agreements. You will analyze AI capabilities, governance, and interagency coordination, contributing to briefs, analyses, and SOPs for risk-reduction measures.

Role supports the COR and broader directorate, with responsibilities spanning knowledge management, demonstrations, and development of AI landscape summaries.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of LLMs, ML architectures, training, fine-tuning, and deployment at scale.
• Knowledge of AI hardware, GPUs/TPUs, data-center architecture, and AI compute supply chains.
• Experience with AI governance frameworks and cross-sector engagement.
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts into concise analyses for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Advise on AI capabilities relevant to treaty monitoring and verification.
• Assess risks from adversarial AI to undermine verification methods.
• Identify opportunities to use AI tools for training, knowledge management, and implementation.
• Evaluate frameworks addressing AI compute, models, datasets, and dual-use risks.
• Prepare technical briefings and interagency materials on AI risk-reduction measures.
