Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Proven track record of leading software projects from concept to delivery.
• Excellent communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that meet project requirements and business objectives.
• Create scalable and maintainable software systems, ensuring adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
• Mentor and coach junior developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to foster professional growth.
• Collaborate with product management, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Conduct thorough testing of software components to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in software applications, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development.

As an AI Application Engineer, this individual will play a pivotal role in building secure, customer-facing applications on Aurora's modern platform. This hands-on role will transform proven legacy products into modern cloud and web-based experiences, embedding intelligent capabilities where they deliver meaningful customer value. The AI Application Engineer will translate customer and business needs into working solutions, collaborating across product, architecture, engineering, and domain teams. Through hands-on execution, this individual will help drive technical direction while working closely with Aurora's technical leaders and delivery teams. This role will leverage AI-enabled development practices to accelerate delivery, establish repeatable engineering patterns, preserve critical product knowledge, and strengthen Aurora's overall software development capability.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that meet project requirements and business objectives.
• Create scalable and maintainable software systems, ensuring adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Expertise in one or more programming languages and development frameworks.
• Deep understanding of software development principles, concepts, and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor team members.

Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 USD per year.
