ConocoPhillips is seeking a skilled AI Application Developer to join our Petrotechnical Digital & AI Product Development team to build transformational tools to drive efficiency and elevate capabilities for Petrotechnical disciplines. In this role, you will design, build, and deliver modern full-stack applications and AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on front-end or scripting with React, Blazor, or similar.
• 3+ years of experience deploying apps on Microsoft Azure.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• 1+ years designing AI agentic solutions in Azure.
• 1+ years using AI coding assistants in a professional setting.
• 1+ years with query languages on Snowflake, Azure SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
• Intermediate full-stack .NET development (ASP.NET Core, Web API, EF).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications using .NET, React, and Blazor, from architecture through deployment.
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, Container Apps).
• Write clean, testable code for data pipelines, APIs, and AI integrations.
• Architect and implement AI-driven agentic solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, and related services.
• Integrate multi-step AI workflows into enterprise applications.
• Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Azure tooling) to improve velocity and code quality.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and end users to translate requirements into software.
• Serve as a technical bridge between analytical and engineering disciplines.
• Engage end users throughout the development cycle with sessions and feedback.

Job Summary

In this role, you will design, build, and deliver modern full-stack applications and AI-driven solutions. You’ll work as an integral member of a cross-functional team – collaborating daily with software engineers, data analysts, and business end users to translate complex operational challenges into production-grade software. You’ll leverage AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery and raise the bar on quality across the full development lifecycle.

Position Overview

You Responsibilities may include:

• Design and develop full-stack applications using .NET, React, and Blazor, from architecture through deployment
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure (App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, etc.)
• Write clean, testable code for data pipelines, APIs, and AI integrations
• Architect and implement AI-driven agentic solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, and related services
• Integrate multi-step AI workflows (tool use, retrieval-augmented generation, agent orchestration) into enterprise applications
• Use AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Azure AI coding tools, Claude) as a standard part of your development workflow to improve velocity and code quality
• Partner closely with a cross-functional team of software engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and business end users to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver software that directly supports operational decision-making
• Serve as a technical bridge between analytical and engineering disciplines — translating business requirements from analysts and end users into well-architected, maintainable solutions
• Engage end users throughout the development cycle — conducting working sessions, incorporating feedback, and ensuring delivered applications solve real-world problems effectively
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline management, and DevSecOps practices
• Contribute to a team culture of knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem-solving

Required Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Current/Valid driver’s license
• 3 or more years of professional software development experience
• 3 or more years of hands‑on, front‑end or scripting experience with one or more modern frameworks such as React, Blazor, or similar
• 3 or more years of experience developing and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure
• 3 or more years of experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
• 1 or more years of experience designing and delivering AI agentic solutions — autonomous agents, multi‑step reasoning workflows, or LLM‑integrated applications within Azure
• 1 or more years of experience using AI coding assistants in a professional development environment
• 1 or more years of experience with query languages on one or more of the following platforms: Snowflake, Azure SQL, NoSQL databases, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
• Intermediate level of proficiency in full‑stack .NET development (ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience translating customer outcomes into technical design requirements
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, or similar enterprise AI services
• Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns and vector databases
• Prior experience building enterprise level software solutions for upstream oil and gas operations or similar industrial environments
• Working knowledge of upstream oil and gas workflows and business processes — including one or more of the following disciplines: production engineering, production operations, maintenance, joint venture operations, well planning, or drilling and completions
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305, AI-102, AZ-900 or equivalent)
