Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data-oriented professional to lead AI and analytics initiatives across our fleet operations in Kentucky. You will identify high-value use cases, deploy scalable solutions, and drive adoption through hands-on training and practical use cases.

The role emphasizes collaboration with site teams and corporate groups, delivering measurable improvements in reliability, safety, and cost. A strong background in Python/SQL and cloud platforms is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, CS, data analytics, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in data science, analytics engineering, or applied AI.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one ML/analytics framework.
  • Experience applying AI, data analytics, or digital tools in a business/operational environment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with practical, implementable solutions.
  • Ability to work across organizations and influence without direct authority.
  • Clear, concise communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-starter who identifies opportunities, takes ownership, and delivers results.
  • Comfortable in evolving space with emerging technologies.

  • Develop documentation, guidance, and standards to support long-term sustainability of deployed solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, value delivered, and opportunities.
  • Drive a culture of innovation by challenging traditional approaches and identifying new cost-saving ideas.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one ML/analytics framework.
  • Experience applying AI, data analytics, or digital tools in a business or operational environment.
