Job summary

Meta FAIR is seeking Research Scientist Interns to advance AI alignment and ML systems. You will join a world-class team to pursue open research questions from framing to experimentation to publication, driving your own project with mentorship rather than a fixed task list.

Internships span 12–24 weeks with multiple start dates; opportunities span ML, NLP, CV, RL, statistics and social sciences as applied to AI systems.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, ML, AI or related field.
• Authorized to work in country at time of hire and maintain work authorization.
• Experience with Python, C++, C, Java.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• First-author publication in top ML/NLP/Systems venue or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel state-of-the-art algorithms and systems using deep learning techniques.
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, stability, fairness, security and privacy of algorithms.
• Perform state-of-the-art research to advance ML/AI science and technology.
• Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners, communicating plans, progress and results.
• Publish research results and contribute to research used in Meta product development.
