Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 7–9 years of software or applied ML engineering with production systems.
• Hands-on experience shipping large-language-model apps, agents, or complex workflows.
• Strong Python/TypeScript or production services language experience.
• Experience with model APIs, structured outputs, retrieval, tool use, and evaluating variable behavior.
• Experience with asynchronous work, state, concurrency, and retries.
• Knowledge of access boundaries and scoped authority for automated workloads.
• Proven ability to improve live systems through traces, metrics, and incident analysis.

Responsibilities

• Choose the right execution model and design agent architectures for deterministic steps or single-agent loops.
• Build dependable tools with connectors, clear contracts, and narrowed authorization.
• Engineer agent behavior including planning, routing, delegation, retry, and handoff across workflows.
• Create durable context by combining instructions, user state, retrieval, and memory features.
• Bound agent authority with scoped identities, budgets, and approval points.
• Evaluate complete trajectories with tests for verified task success and tool use.
• Operate long-running execution using durable state, checkpointing, and versioned releases.
• Make behavior observable with end-to-end traces and replay for failure diagnosis.
• Protect user control with clear intervention points to inspect and resume work.
• Build shared capability by working across product, platform, security, and evaluation teams.
