Job summary

Edison Scientific seeks an engineer to own the development and maintenance of production AI agents (Kosmos). You will prototype new capabilities with internal science and engineering teams, validate workflows with customers, and make agents more capable, reliable, and useful across life sciences.

You will collaborate across engineering, science, and product teams, building from scratch, and driving clarity in ambiguous situations while contributing to agent architectures and evaluation

Qualifications

• Experience building LLM-powered tools or applications: prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain the AI agents powering Edison Scientific's platform from prototype to production.
• Collaborate with science and engineering teams to explore agent architectures, prompting strategies, tool integrations, and evaluation frameworks.
• Develop reusable infrastructure – agent skills, tool-use pipelines, benchmarks – to improve every agent on the platform.
• Spend ~30% with R&D partners to understand workflows, test in real environments, and translate insights back to the team.
• Translate field insights and research into product direction and prioritization.
