Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, automation, SRE, or application support.

• Proficiency with FastAPI (or equivalent), REST APIs, JSON, authentication, async programming, and SQL.

As an AI Agent Engineer for AMS Automation, you will design, build, integrate, test, deploy, and support production-grade AI agents for Application Maintenance Services (AMS).

This role is responsible for RAG pipelines, Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, and agent workflows spanning incident, problem, change, and knowledge management. We are looking for an engineer who combines strong Python skills with production-support discipline.

Your Role Responsibilities and Duties

• Agent Engineering: Build agents for routing, triage, resolution, remediation, root-cause analysis (RCA), and knowledge management, with validation, retries, and escalation.
• RAG & Knowledge Engineering: Build ingestion pipelines for JIRA, ServiceNow, runbooks, and logs; implement hybrid retrieval, re-ranking, and citations.
• MCP & Enterprise Integration: Build MCP tools for ticket search, incident history, observability queries, and approved remediation actions.
• Testing & Evaluation: Write test scenarios from known incidents and validated resolutions, and evaluate groundedness and resolution outcomes.
• Deployment & Operations: Containerize and deploy agent services with logging, tracing, and alerting, and manage staged rollout from sandbox to controlled execution.
• Continuous Improvement: Diagnose failures across retrieval, prompts, and tools, and feed root causes back into Application Development (AD) backlogs and AMS knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, automation, SRE, or application support.
• Strong hands-on Python and API development experience, with solid software-engineering practices.
• Experience building, testing, and operating production services or enterprise integrations.
• Exposure to ITSM, production support, observability, or cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with FastAPI (or equivalent), REST APIs, JSON, authentication, async programming, and SQL.
• Hands-on RAG experience: embeddings, vector search, metadata filtering, and tool calling.
• Working knowledge of GitHub/GitLab, Docker, CI/CD, testing, and production diagnostics.
• Understanding of incident, problem, change, and knowledge-management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Claude, Gemini, GPT, LangGraph, or ADK.
• Experience with Qdrant, pgvector, OpenSearch, Pinecone, or Neo4j.
• Familiarity with MCP, Kubernetes, JIRA, or ServiceNow.
• Cloud, Python, AI, DevOps, or ITIL certification.
