Job summary

Maxinsights is seeking an AI Agent Architect to design and build enterprise internal agents and AI-native workflows in Santa Clara, CA. You will own end-to-end system architecture, balancing automation with human oversight and delivering scalable AI-powered solutions.

You will collaborate with product, research, data, infrastructure, and operations to translate ambiguous needs into robust designs, define interfaces, and ensure observability and reliable production rollout.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering and system architecture fundamentals.
• Hands-on understanding of LLM and agent systems, including tool use, orchestration, context and memory, evaluation, guardrails, and observability.
• Experience integrating software systems with large-scale multimodal data processing or distributed workflows.
• Strong product sense and technical taste: you can identify the real problem, choose clear abstractions, and make pragmatic tradeoffs.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, communicate across teams, and drive decisions without waiting for complete requirements.
• Experience with human-in-the-loop systems, internal automation, permissions, audibility, multi-tenant systems, or safe rollout of AI capabilities is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build internal agent systems for complex business, data, and operational workflows.
• Integrate agents with multimodal data pipelines, services, tools, permissions, and production infrastructure; define interfaces, state, observability, and failure recovery.
• Design AI-native workflows coordinating agent actions, human review, and cross-team handoffs with automation and control.
• Collaborate with product, research, data, infrastructure, and operations to turn ambiguous needs into system designs and delivery plans, then improve them through evaluation and production feedback.
