Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a data science and AI expert to lead hands-on development of machine learning and generative AI solutions for Commercial and Medical challenges. You will translate business problems into technical requirements, build and validate models, and deploy pipelines that align with CSL data governance standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in data science, AI, CS, statistics, applied mathematics, or related quantitative discipline.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, or (Gen)AI within pharma, biotech, or healthcare settings.
• Demonstrated track record of building and deploying machine learning models in commercial or clinical contexts.
• Experience contributing to end-to-end AI/ML initiatives, from ideation and scoping through to deployment and monitoring.
• Familiarity with commercial and medical pharma analytics, such as patient identification, HCP segmentation, forecasting, or competitive intelligence.
• Experience with rare disease patient-finding models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into data science use cases, requirements, analytical approaches, and implementation plans.
• Develop, validate, and deploy ML, generative AI, and analytics solutions addressing Commercial and Medical challenges.
• Build, evaluate, and monitor models and data pipelines ensuring reproducibility and scalability.
• Support design and implementation of generative AI and LLM-based solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation.
• Apply validation, monitoring and drift detection to keep AI solutions accurate and fit for purpose.
• Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, IT, Data Governance, Compliance, and other teams to align with enterprise standards.
• Bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, translating needs into analytical requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in data science, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline

Master's degree strongly preferred
