Job description

AI Adoption Lead

Department: Sales

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Remote (US)

Description

Every company in America bought AI licenses in the last two years.

Walk into most of them on a normal Tuesday and the monthly report is still being built the way it was in 2019. The seats are paid for. A few people are quietly getting a lot out of them. Everyone else opened it once, got a confident wrong answer, and went back to work.

That gap is the job.

We got pulled into this because Andes Path clients kept asking. It turns out the hard part of AI adoption at a 200-person law firm or a physical therapy operator is not the model. It is deciding what is actually worth changing, getting it set up inside the rules IT already has, and staying around long enough that people learn it. Vendors sell licenses and leave. Consultancies sell a deck and a 90-day pilot. We do the part in between, and we keep doing it. We think AI is going to change how most office work gets done. We also think most of what gets said about it on LinkedIn is noise. AI tools are always confident and sometimes correct, and the value shows up when someone with judgment is standing next to the person using them. That someone is you. You are a Product Manager pointed at a client instead of a product. You run the strategy, you guide the setup, and you shape the teaching. A support team in Chile delivers the day-to-day help behind you. Andes Path engineers are there when something genuinely has to be built, which is less often than everyone thinks.

This is a high-trust role with real scope, autonomy, and impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Run discovery: Sit with the managing partner, the office manager, and the paralegal who has rebuilt the same spreadsheet for eleven years. Watch the work. Decide which three things are worth changing and which forty are not.
  • Sort the people: The ones already deep in it, the ones who will never touch it and should be left alone, and the big middle who could and don't. Plan differently for each.
  • Write the plan on one page: Decisions, owners, order. Name the blockers out loud, including the awkward ones about who is accountable and who is paid to care.
  • Know the tools for real: What Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT and the vertical tools can actually do this quarter, not what the keynote said. Know when a build is justified and when it is not.
  • Guide the setup with IT: Work inside the client's rules. Write the AI use policy with their IT team and get it enforced. Make sure file permissions are cleaned up before anyone points an AI at the document system. Get licenses to the right people.
  • Scope builds, don't do them: When discovery turns up something that needs engineering, bring in Andes Path's pods and run the conversation about what, why, and what it costs.
  • Teach in person: Run sessions on the client's own documents. Teach people how these tools fail so they learn to check them instead of trusting or avoiding them.
  • Direct the support team: Set the agenda for the Chile desk - what to teach next, which repeat question becomes a two-minute video, which one means the workflow is wrong.
  • Track adoption person by person: so the client knows who has it and who needs a hand.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years in product management, implementation, solutions consulting, or a similar role where you owned discovery and prioritization with stakeholders who did not report to you.
  • Daily, hands‑on use of current AI tools. You have built real workflows with them for yourself and others, and you can tell a demo from a thing that works.
  • Technically fluent, not technically employed. You can hold your own with an IT director, read an integration diagram, and follow a permissions conversation. You do not need to write production code and you are relieved not to.
  • A teacher. People leave a session with you able to do the thing. Comfortable in front of a room and on a screen share.
  • Plain written and spoken English. Short sentences, no jargon.
  • Based in or near Chicago, able to be on client sites most weeks.
Nice to have
  • Time inside a law firm, accounting firm, medical practice, or construction company, especially in operations or legal ops.
  • Change-management training (Prosci or similar).
  • Spanish, for working with the Chile team.
Benefits
  • You’ll work directly with the founders and with US clients who are actually trying to change how they work.
  • Remote-friendly when you are not on site; a small, low-ego team across Chicago and Santiago.
