An established industry player is seeking a dedicated physician to deliver primary care services at a renowned hospital in Oakland. SUMMARY: The physician will provide primary care services for Alameda Health System, underemployment from Alameda Health Medical Group. Services will be on-site at Highland Hospital.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
1. Facilitate full scope, equitable primary care for a population with a large burden of social determinants ofhealth.
2.Work closely with the Highland Primary Care staff and administration in a team-based model of care.
3.Attend and participate in clinic and Division meetings and other medical staff conferences includingcontinuing education programs.
4.Plan and participate in in-service education programs for mid-level practitioners, nursing and other staff.
5.Serve as a professional role model for trainees with peers, patients, families and other members of thehealth care team.
6.Work diligently with specialists for a seamless transition from outpatient to hospital care and to facilitateconsultations.
7.Work with AHS in implementing new procedures, controls and systems to promote and facilitate quality,cost controls, reimbursement functions, standardization of products and equipment, and any otherrequests made by AHS.
8.Provide effective and timely communications to referring or admitting physicians, patients and familiesconcerning the clinical status of each patient.
9.Option for qualified candidates to precept and teach internal medicine residents as a clinician-educator inprimary care clinic as opportunities become available.
10.Other responsibilities as assigned by the Division Chief or his/her designee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) is required.
Required: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State ofCalifornia.
Valid DEA license
Pay Range: $141.66-$151.85 / Hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
